An integral part of western ghats confluencing at the backwaters of Kabini dam, this place beckons a rich species of flora and fauna with its diverse ecosystem and is a true testimony to the thriving wildlife. While the place boasts of highest congregation of asiatic elephants , Indian gaurs and herbivores nonchalantly grazing on the meadows , the backwater attracts some amazing avians like hornbills, ospreys and fish eagles and The canopies within nurtures some elusive cats like the leopards, tigers and the famed Black panther that rule the woods. Please note: This Tour commences at Kabini on 14 February and ends at the same place after breakfast on 16 December
Arrive and check-in at the legendary ‘Kabini river lodge’ resort, followed by a mutual introduction and briefing by the skipper about the
Tour. Soon after the session we head for a delicious lunch and get ready for the most awaited and exciting activity, the Safari! To explore the rich biodiversity of the Nagarahole Tiger reserve.
We wake up early morning, sip on some hot coffee/tea to start a fresh new day with hope set high for an exciting safari where we try to adapt and execute all the tips and tricks discussed the previous evening.
Back at the resort hot breakfast is waiting to quench your hunger. We all gather again at noon for another insightful, hands-on photography session.
Another delicious lunch to charge us up for the next safari. We will not only be looking for the key predators found in the park, but we will also be on the lookout for any good photo opportunity Upon returning back from the forest, having known about the activities and probable whereabouts of the cats we strategize and plan our routes accordingly for the last safari before we call it a day.
We gear up for the last safari of the tour with the same excitement we had for the first one, as the forest is filled with surprises! Back at the resort, hot breakfast awaits us to quench our hunger.
Making new friends and memories we bid adieu to the enchanting ‘Kabini’ until next time.

Of course! This Tour is meant for newbies as well as experienced photographers. Beginners will get all the advantages of learning on and off the field from the photography mentors. In fact if you are a fresher, you should jump on this great photography learning opportunity and sign up right away!
Since guests of our Tours travel from different parts of the country by different modes (road, rail and air) as per their preferences, it is convenient for the Tour to start from the destination. We will however provide the assistance you need in arranging your pick up and drop.
Since it is a free roaming animal, it is never easy to commit to sightings. But considering that the photography mentor has travelled there multiple times every year for many years now, his in-depth knowledge of that place will surely help us get good sightings. Kabini is known to be one of the finest places in India to see leopards.
They allow 7 people in one safari vehicle and the group would be restricted to only 6 participants. We will be using only one vehicle which means you will have the mentor in your vehicle for all the safaris.
